#StrikingThoughts 4 – Change how you feel about things!
“When you change how you feel about the things you are thinking about, the things you are thinking about, change!”
– Sandi Dragoi
However you feel about anything, you feel it because you believe something about that, first. To change how you feel you need to become aware of what it is you truly believe about anything. Yourself, the world, life in general, and, the other people. Why so? Because:
Beliefs come first!
Feelings are secondary. How you feel – the states you are in – are direct consequences of your thoughts. Your thoughts are all the internal representations you make: mental pictures, self-talk, various other (mostly unconscious) conversations you may have with other people, other internal sounds, tastes, smells, and other possible internal impressions. All these combined are forming your thoughts.
Which are made of all the ideas, convictions, values and personal rules – let’s call them beliefs – you hold to be true for you at certain points in your life. In other words, this is the level of consciousness you are at.
Your conscious awareness of yourself.
As you expand it, increase your perception about yourself and your potential – which is a state of being, therefore how you feel – everything else changes, too.

A better idea, you ask?
Most likely! I believe our lives faithfully reflects our self-image. That which we are, at heart.
